Crystal Visions is a select group of extraordinary and charismatic musicians that have come together locally,in Tennessee, with each being from other states, Ohio, Utah, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Michigan. Each with extensive musical & travel experience. Ironically, the sessions musicians that work with them are also from other varying states as well! The majority of the group members are middle aged, well seasoned rock 'n rollers. All are truly pro musicians, with many individual credits, which will not all be listed here. Janice was awarded a studio recording contract with one of the most popular recording studios in Tennessee. She will be soon b releasing a ten song, studio album. It will be a tribute album to Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac.

A little bird told us that Janice & John are also collaborating on originals with a Celtic-Bluesy-Rock flavour! They may just surprise you, in the middle of a tribute show and throw in a beautiful and harmonious duet, chosen from one of their originals! This is a mellow & laid back group of people with high energy levels. They have alot of interaction with one another on stage and with audience.
You can tell that these guys have fun doing what they do!

Trivia: Janice chose the stage name 'Crystal Visions', as it was derived from the lyrics in one of her favorite songs by Fleetwood Mac. The song entitled 'Dreams', written by Stevie Nicks. 'Dreams' is originally from the 'Rumours' album. It remained as the Number # 1 song on the charts for well over six months in the year 1977.
It remains, to date, to be FM's top selling album.

Stevie wrote a song entitled: 'Crystal', as well, which first appeared on the album: 'Buckingham Nicks' in 1973. Then on 'Fleetwood Mac' in 1975, on 'Fleetwood Mac The Chain' in 1992, and on 'Practical Magic' Soundtrack in 1998. Also released as B-side of U.K. single 'Don't Let Me Down Again' in April 1974

Even More Trivia:... Ironically, Janice had a fondness for the name 'Crystal' before the song 'Dreams' or the song 'Crystal' were ever released... as she had just, a few months before that first release, named her daughter... 'Crystal' !!

And MORE Trivia??... Another of her favorite songs is entitled: 'Angel' - written by Stevie Nicks which appears on the album: 'Tusk', 1979 and also on: 'Fleetwood Mac - The Chain' in 1992!
Janice had named another daughter...'Angel'...prior to the first release of this song as well!

Now, how about those facts for a bit of coincidence??

Janice B - Vocals, Tambourine, Var Percussion & Songwriter. Janice, along with her Powerful Bluesy Rockin' Vocals, rocks the house! She will take you on journeys that you are not prepared for, from soft sensuous whispers, climbing onward & upward, to belt out powerhouse vocals that will run shivers down your spine. Janice comes from a long line of musically talented family members and began singing as a child in Ohio, where she performed in many choirs & music clubs locally, as well as in school and church. She sang regularly in a local radio station as part of her studies in music classes,as far back as Jr High, where the radio station was located on the top floor of the school. She is also an artist, who studied various media of art at TMA in Ohio for several years. As well, she is an artesan designer who designs her own personal line of bohemian style clothing, *Mythopoetical Designs. Janice has long been associated with many talented individuals, bands and professional musicians throughout the years, in the States as well as in Europe. She made the decision to get serious and go solo several years ago, (with much persuasion from friends as to how much she sounded like Stevie Nicks). She has been singing tribute to Stevie Nicks,since 1996, after making the decision to work seriously and with many painstaking hours of studying each and every individual song for proper pitch, range, tone, etc, by way of a multitude of unreleased and lost demo recordings and live videos that date back as far as when Stevie and Lindsey were with the band 'Fritz', before joining 'Fleetwood Mac'.

Just a few comments to quote from the listening audience are:

"Stevie Nicks would be honored by this tribute",
"A cross between Stevie Nicks & Janis Joplin".
She states that Janis Joplin was indeed an early influence that nurtured her love for the blues/rock combination. Being a true blooded rock 'n roll gypsy, she says that she thinks she may have inherited that from her own beloved 'Gypsy' Grandfather,'Tennie' (short for Tennessee..yes, that was really his name!), who lived most of his life on the road, and who always encouraged her to follow her dreams.
Not only is Janice very familiar with Nicks' work from the early day Fritz to present, but also the various stylings through the decades, and as well, the stories behind the songs, which Nicks is greatly loved for, by her fans.
The stage presence is every bit as mystical & enticing, with the costumes, shawls, capes and tambourines...and yes...the twirling spins also! This is one classy lady, with tons of energy! Being described time and time again, as being absolutely Timeless, she will have you jumping up and down singing 'Stand Back' and tears rolling down your face singing, 'Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You', or 'Beauty & The Beast'. Janice has also been an accomplished and published writer for many years now. She refers to her self as just another Poet. She is currently working on originals which she hopes to get recorded within the next year in the states.
As well, she is involved with projects in Europe and there is talk in the air about a tentative Tribute tour in Asia.

Janice was asked if she had perhaps thought of dying her hair blond, in order to look more like Stevie. Her reply was: "No, never! I'm not an 'impersonator', per se. Anyway, Stevie doesn't sing with her hair, and neither do I! The only way that I would do that, would be if I were doing Theatre, and even then I would wear a wig. No, I would never make that drastic of a change to my appearance. Stevie has truly gorgeous blond hair,and it suits her. But on me? No, I would just look really weird!"

John D, Guitarist, Vocals, Composer & Songwriter & Bagpipes! John is from Wisconsin. He majored in Music Theory & Composition at University in Utah in the 70's. A multi-talented guitarist, trained in Classical Guitar, with vocals that are very similar to the voice of John Lennon (who was also a major influence for John as were The Beatles). He even resembles the handsome lad, a bit as well! John likes to play creative bass for the tribute shows, and can he ever rock a bass guitar! However the bass does not encompass his talents, as he can also play lead, rhythm, and keyboard. When it's time to play Landslide, he brings out his electric acoustic 12-String to accompany Janice's voice and it is such a beautiful sound to the listener's ear! John has played in several rock bands & with various musicians through the years across the country. He has written & recorded some beautiful songs, composing the music and playing all instruments on the material as well! John is intrigued by a Celtic-Rock sound. He's been toying with the bagpipes now for the past couple of years and hopes to incorporate this sound into future planned recordings of originals as well as into some of Janice's material. John says that this will come "When I perfect the sound".

Tyler S, is an Incredible Drummer, from Mississippi. Tyler is the newest permanent member of Crystal Visions and is just as much of a vital and paramount element to this group as Mick Fleetwood is to Fleetwood Mac. CV was positively elated when Tyler agreed to join forces with them to become THE force behind it all!! This ever so handsome young man, with a captivating smile has been playing since his early teens. He, being the youngest member, in his mid twenties, gives everyone a run for their money with his extraordinary talent on the drums! A backbone to the band that drives it on, taking you on a roller coaster ride through the crescendos! He has a very impressive musical past, with extensive touring experience with blues, jazz & rock musicians. He's basically always played with older musicians and has an uncanny ear for the music! Knowing exactly what to do to give it that total 'Fleetwood Mac' sound! From drum lessons in childhood onward, Tyler was greatly influenced by his guitarist dad, and always had a deep fondness & appreciation for Classic Rock. Mick Fleetwood himself would surely endorse this fine musician and his incredible abilities. He would also appreciate the fact that he too, plays a DW kit! This is one drummer that is a force to be reckoned with!

Tim B, is also an excellent Drummer, Percussionist, Vocalist, who has played in several bands through the years. He went on hiatus for several years to have a family, and is now back, ready, willing and able to lend that driving force which drives the sound of rock 'n roll onward & upward. Tim has an incredible knowledge of most any classic rock song that you can think of, and can hang with the best of them! Always searching for just the 'right' percussion tool to give a certain effect and he is an incredible team player! He has not been a full time player with Crystal Visions but definitely will hold a permanent position for as long as he wants. There is talk of possible duel drummers for the future! Such as Fleetwood Mac, using a second percussionist for live shows. Stevie uses a second percussionist as well in her solo shows. Tim's harmonizing vocals are also most appreciated when working with CV.

Scott Q, Keyboards, Vocals, Composer, is from Utah. Magic fingers on the keyboard! Scott was recruited by CV's own John Drake. Scott is a long time friend and ex-bandmate to John, with whom he worked out west many years ago! These two are quite a team. It is said that they can read one another's minds when it comes to composing & playing music! A dynamic duo! Beautiful synchronicity! Scott is not a full time member with CV and is helping to recruit new keyboard players for future performances.

Dale B, Lead Guitar & Rhythm, Composer, Vocals, Songwriter, is also from Utah, and long time friend of John & Scott. They played together in various bands years ago as well. Dale is amazing on any guitar that he picks up, with fingers flying across the strings, very similar to Lindsey Buckingham's finger picking style when needed in a song. Trained as well in Classical Music, as was Lindsey! This is one amazing guitarist that rocks the house down! Dale is not a full time member of Crystal Visions as he is involved in other projects, out of state, where he has previous binding commitments. He is helping to recruit new guitarists for CV for future performances.

Crystal Visions currently has a couple of rotating members, however feels quite fortunate to have a circle of friends that are excellent sessions musicians (not listed here) who are happy to make guest appearances at the mic to play guitar, keys or full scale harp & additional vocals!

After the album is released, watch & listen.
In the upcoming days, this band is sure to be the buzz!
Especially with all of the Stevie and Fleetwood Mac fans out there!
